Honorary Consulate General of Sweden in Manila, the Philippines

The Embassy of Sweden in Manila closed its services to the public on May 31, 2008. An Honorary Consulate General opened in Manila on 16 June, 2008. Contact details for the Consulate are as follows:

Opening hours: Monday-Friday 09.00-12.00 hrs

The Honorary Consulate General will be able to provide basic consular service to Swedish citizens. However, the main responsibility for consular services will be transferred to the Embassy of Sweden in Bangkok.

Urgent consular matters that need attention are referred to the Embassy of Sweden in Bangkok. Please be advised to use the following number:

Passports

If you lose your passport you will have to contact the Embassy of Sweden in Bangkok using the following telephone number:

As from 1 June, 2008, new passport applications shall be made at the Swedish Embassy in Bangkok.

The Consulate General in Manila will be able to issue temporary passports as of 1 July, 2008.

Applications for Schengen Visa

Following a temporary freeze in accepting new applications, you are now again able to apply for Schengen visas for Sweden in Manila.

The Embassy of Sweden in Bangkok and the Consulate General of Sweden in Manila are providing a Visitor’s Visa Information and Application System in the Philippines through an appointed Call Center.

Booking of slots for interviews for Residence and Work permits (UAT)

Effective as of 16 June, 2008, you will be able to book interviews for residence and work permits in Manila. Interviews will take place at the Consulate General in Manila starting 1 July, 2008. Please make your booking at the Consulate General by either Email or telephone.
