Swedish Representation in Cambodia

The Embassy of Sweden in Thailand has a section focusing on development Cooperation based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The office of this section can also provide consular support to Swedes in Cambodia.

The Ambassador of Sweden to Thailand is accredited to Cambodia. This means that he is also the Ambassador of Sweden to Cambodia. Head of the Chancery in Cambodia is Counsellor Mrs Eva Asplund.

Swedish development cooperation

Sweden has been giving support to Cambodia since 1979. Being one of the poorest countries in the world, the Swedish development policy for Cambodia targets poverty relief. The long-term focus is set on on rebuilding social and physical infrastructure.
