The Section comprises of four persons; two Swedish diplomats along with two local commercial staff, whose working language is English and Thai:

The Trade Section is able to assist local companies with information regarding Swedish industry, company names and general information about Swedish products. It can also advise on available programs under the bilateral development cooperation scheme (contract financed technical cooperation, training courses etc).

For Swedish companies the Trade Section also carries out in-depth studies and assignments against a moderate, hourly rate. The services include:

• Supporting incoming delegations
• Visiting programs (accompanied or unaccompanied)
• Assistance to visiting importers/ purchasers
• Market check, market study
• Agent/distributor search
• Joint-venture preparations
• Credit reports, checking financial status
• Preparing exhibitions and organizing workshops
• Mailing lists
• Press clippings
• Interpretation and translation
• Negotiating assistance
• Support office facility (for companies lacking their own representatioin)
