EU-Thailand Forum

The EU-Thailand Forum is an initiative to widen and deepen trade relations between the EU and Thailand.

The fair of the forum takes place 17-18 September at IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center in Bangkok. It was officially opened by the Thai Minister of Commerce 17 September. The Ambassador of Sweden was representing the Presidency of the EU and held an opening speech at the ceremony.

The fair focuses on alternative energy, food safety and logistics. Volvo and Scania showed an ethanol car and an engine of an ethanol bus respectively, representing Swedish companies’ competence in the field of alternative energy.

It was organized by the European Commission and hosted by the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Dr Anders Granlund, Director of the Swedish Environmental Secretariat for Asia (SENSA) attended a roundtable discussion at the seminar.
